R-97 Water Repellent

R-97 (penetrating oil and water repellent):

Finally a water repellent for Masonry substrates that does it all!
R-97 can be applied to brick, grout, unpolished marble, limestone, tile, and other masonry surfaces. Dries clear on surface. Creates an easily cleanable surface for dirt, oil, grime, tar, soil, etc. Due to its water-based composition, R-97 is odorless and leaves a natural finish (no sheen) on the surface. R-97 works by penetrating into the substrate. It is not topical. After being absorbed, R-97 establishes a powerful chemical network within the substrate pores, keeping moisture and oil out. In addition to keeping treated surfaces dry and making it easy to clean, R-97 does not block the pores, permitting essential vapor transmission.

Application Procedures:
Always prepare a test area prior to full application.

Preparations
Surfaces should be clean, dry and absorbent before sealing with R-97 If surfaces are not new, they should be cleaned to insure R-97 achieves maximum penetration.

Directions
1. Apply with sprayer (35 psi or less), brush or roll. DO NOT ATOMIZE
2. One application is required, saturate surface until it starts to run. If two coats are desired, always apply wet into wet. DO NOT LET FIRST COAT DRY BEFORE APPLYING SECOND COAT.
3. Allow to dry. Surface will be dry in about an hour.

Note: R-97 works by absorbing into surfaces. R-97 will reach its maximum water & oil repellency in 24 hours.

Limitations
* R-97 is not meant to seal cracks.
* Not for granite or polished marble.
* Minimum Temperature for application 45ºF

Packaging and Coverage
1 gallon, 5 gallon pails and 55 gallon drums. This will vary depending on the porosity of the surface. 200 to 300 sq ft. per gallon can be expected.

Storage/Shelf Life:
Store at 32°F (0°C) to 100°F (38°C). Keep material sealed in airtight factory containers and store in a cool dry place. When properly stored, material will keep for a minimum of 1 year from the date of purchase.
