Paint Bridge
What is Paint Bridge:
Paint Bridge is a non-woven synthetic spunbonded fabric. It has high tensile and tear strength in both directions. Paint Bridge has an excellent resistance to most chemicals and may be used with either water or solvent based paints. The porous structure is moisture, rot and mildew resistant.
Paint Bridge can be used for:
* Wall Cracks
* Corner Cracks
* Casing to Wall
* Replace Caulking
* Interior or Exterior
* Stop Air Infiltration
Advantages of Paint Bridge:
Paint Bridge is only 4 mils. thick. When the fabric is embedded in paint, elastomeric coatings or patching plaster you do not have the thick build up you would get with scrim or paper tapes. Paint Bridge conforms wells to corners or wall texture. It is strong and it stretches.
Application:
* If plaster is shifted at the crack, fill in the crack and sand the surface to an even plane.
* Cover the area at the crack with latex paint and apply Paint Bridge over the wet paint. Immediately apply another coat of paint over the Paint Bridge and allow to dry.
* You now have the option of applying a thin coat of drywall compound or finish coat of paint over the fabric.
